:em engineering methods AG ( :em AG) – a portfolio company of Patrimonium Private Equity and Wille Finance and a leading specialized IT consulting firm for the digital transformation of industrial enterprises in the German-speaking region – has acquired SEMP Consulting GmbH, headquartered in Landshut, Bavaria, through its holding company.

With this acquisition, the Darmstadt-based group strengthens its position in the strategically important field of Systems Engineering, an interdisciplinary approach to the development of complex systems and products. At the same time, the transaction expands the group’s customer portfolio, partner network, and geographic footprint across Germany.

The growing Systems Engineering market is driven by increasing product complexity and the integration of physical and software-based components. SEMP supports customers in Systems Engineering and IT Management while also ensuring the qualification and certification of employees.

“The integration of SEMP into our group strengthens our market position across the DACH region in the areas of Model-Based Systems Engineering, including training services, Product & Application Lifecycle Management, and Digital Services. We are delighted to welcome Prof. Matthias Dorfner and Prof. Sebastian Schröter as experienced consulting partners and managing directors who share our vision,” said Dr. Sven Kleiner, Member of the Management Board of :em engineering methods AG.

“The merger opens up new opportunities for us to further strengthen our position in Systems Engineering and IT Management and to offer our customers and partners an even broader range of services. We look forward to shaping the digital future of engineering and beyond together,” emphasized Prof. Dr. Dorfner.

“This transaction is an important step in our group’s growth strategy. It enables us to further expand our service portfolio for customers, diversify our industry coverage, and enhance development opportunities for our employees,” added Philippe Knüsel, Managing Director & Co-Head of Patrimonium Private Equity Advisors and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of AG.

Founded in 2002, the :em engineering methods AG group continues to strengthen its position as a leading provider of digital transformation services in the DACH region through a combination of strategic acquisitions and organic growth.
